Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch, also written as Quratulain Balouch is a Pakistani singer-songwriter. Also known as QB or the Humsafar lady, she became popular for her title track Woh Humsafar Tha in Hum TV’s serial Humsafar. She is the inspiration and favorite singer of our young generation.
She brought up and has spent her childhood and adolescent in America.
Recently she posted on twitter and expressed her sentiments as,
“We want justice for the countless and ruthless killing of Hazara community. The government needs to up its game. Enough is Enough! Have some heart for god’s sake!!!! ”
Hundreds of innocent people have been killed in Hazara and no action against this injustice is taken by the government, native people are not secure there, they fear coming out of their homes and cannot live independently.
Pakistani artist is also famous for having various respects at the Lux Style Awards and the Pakistani Media Awards and achieved the title of 2012 best Female Singer of the Year. She has performed songs for Coke Studio, others shows and concerts and dramas like Woh Humsafar Tha. She was born in Multan, Pakistan. Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch usually perform and work in Bollywood film songs, solos and playback songs.
QB did not go to any music academy to learn music. Music was inside her, so talented that learnt from listening to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Muhammad Juman, Pathanay Khan and others.
She got popularity in singing when she started singing fsong of legend singer Reshma’s “Ankhian Nu Ren De”. She got hype when she performed in Coke Studio with Jal for a song “Panchi”. She won the hearts when she sung an award-winning song “Woh Humsafar Tha” for a television drama serial ‘Humsafar’.
She performed in a live event with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra in which she represented our country and its music, in 2012. She sung a song “Kaari Kaari” in film Pink, from which she started participating in Bollywood, in 2016.
