Court Orders To Close Meesha Shafi And Ali Zafar Case

Ali Zafar, Meesha Shafi

Yesterday, in Lahore High Court, Justice Masood Jahangir ceased the order of the district judge which was published by a press, the trial court judge has given orders to stop Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi’s ongoing scandal mongering case by April 15, 2019.

This was took in a very positive way by the law members of Ali Zafar, by saying that it made the day of the fans and supporters of ali Zafar. Zafar’s lawyer Ambreen Qureshi said, “The Honourable Judge has passed orders to conclude the case in 90 days. Meesha and her team have been trying to delay it for the past one year by seeking adjournment after adjournment and filing several case applications”.
Concluding it as Qureshi said, “case delaying tactics”, “It’s very common in legal battles to have the other party not wanting a verdict to be announced due to some fear or the other. But, with this judgment we are confident that justice will be delivered sooner than later, exposing Shafi and her lies which is exactly what she is trying to run away from but we will not let that happen.”

Coming to the view point from Meesha Shafi, Shafi’s lawyer Ahmed Pansota said, “Our stance, i.e the difficulty involved in concluding the trial, including examination of more than 40 witnesses till April 15, 2019, stands vindicated today as the Honourable Judge acknowledged the same while enlarging the time period, alongside providing us with the opportunity to approach the court again, if required,”

History:
Last year in April, Shafi blamed Zafar of sexual harassment. And a singer named Aya Lariye shared on social media to make her voice heard, whereby Zafar replied with legal advances, authoritative announcement that he will take legal notice on this issue. then after a short period of time he filed on-going scandalous case against the singer that still remains under trial.
