Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, popularly known as “Lala” (which in Pashto and Punjabi means “older brother”), is an award-winning Pakistani musician from Isakhel, Mianwali, Punjab. He was born on August 19, 1951. His last name is also translated as Esa Khailvi.
He went against his father’s wishes and decided to pursue a singing career, resulting in him being kicked out of the house. His father’s Hajj trip looked to be his sole opportunity to pursue his ambition. Early Life of Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi
On August 19, 1951, Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi was born in Pakistan’s Punjab Province’s Essa Khail, Mianwali. Attaullah Khan Niazi was the man’s name. Imran Khan and Misbah ul Haq are members of the large Pashtun tribe known as the Niazi in Punjab. When Attaullah was young, he became interested in music, but it was strongly prohibited in his home.
Despite his home’s ban on music, Attaullah secretly wished to know more about it. His teacher encouraged him never to stop singing while teaching him songs like Mohammed Rafi and Mukesh. Attaullah tried to convince his parents to let him sing by explaining his love of music, but they refused.
Attaullah left his family when he was 18 years old out of disillusionment. He went widely around Pakistan and made a living by working from Mianwali. People adopt his name as the name of their hotel in his hometown of Isakhel because they hold him in such high regard as a talented vocalist.

After moving out, Attaullah maintained his musical education, and he frequently recorded himself on cassette cassettes that he subsequently disseminated.
Attaullah was invited to play on Radio Pakistan, Bahawalpur, in 1972. In the same year, he also gave a concert on Mianwali. He had an appearance on the show Neelam Ghar in 1973.
The firm in Faisalabad that invited Attaullah to record folk songs in their studio allowed him to record four albums’ worth of music in a single session. At the close of 1977, the albums were launched and quickly became top sellers throughout the country.
Attaullah made his debut performance in the UK in 1980. In addition, this was his first overseas performance. Eventually, records by Attaullah were published in the United Kingdom on various labels, including Hi-tech, OSA, and Moviebox.

His discography includes over 45,000 songs, which he has recorded in seven different languages. The British monarchy presented him with a medal for lifetime accomplishment. In 1994, his name was written in the Guinness Book of World Records for most audio recordings commercially produced.
Bollywood Debut of Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi
In 2014, Attaullah Khan traveled to India. Attaullah Khan debuted in the Indian capital at this Sufi concert called Ibaadat. Khan entertained the crowd with his renditions of “Acha Sila Diya Tune Mere Pyaar Ka” and other popular songs from the Pakistani Sufi canon. The non-governmental organization AAS arranged the concert.
