Abida Parveen says that there is no language of sufi music, which means that there is no alternative of this form of music. Well composed music and melodious voice can make any one lost in the essence of music.



It is said that, “Where words leave off, music begins”. People like Sufi Music all over the world. There is heavy demand of sufi Singers in Western countries. They listen and enjoy Eastern and sufi Music.

In an interview she shared that she always loved music and with the Grace of God she achieved the heights in this field. She said, people in India love me and my music the way people do in Pakistan, which is an honor for me.

Abida Parveen, is one of our great Pakistani Sufi Muslim singers, musician and also into composing music. Her singing and music has made her earn great privilege, in addition to that she is known as the ‘Queen of Sufi music’. She is also a painter and a business woman.

Abida had also worked in the super hit Pakistani movie “Zindagi” with Arif Lohar, Atta Ullah Esakhelvi and Sultan Rahi. In that movie she performed her popular song, Kalam of Sufi Sachal Sarmast ‘mahi yar di gharoli bhar di’. Now, Rohail Hyatt has started a project in which she says that it would be amazing to work with him.
