Abida Parveen is a prominent figure in Pakistan. Parveen is a “Global Mystic Sufi Ambassador” and one of the world’s 500 most influential Muslim celebrities. In 2017, Parveen was named a “Peace Ambassador” by SAARC for her performance of a well-known Nepali song titled “Ukali Orali Haruma,” originally performed by Nepali artist Tara Devi during a concert in Kathmandu, Nepal.
