Hollywood actors love Pakistani Sufi Music and Pakistani Musicians and singers from decades, such as Pakistani renowned legend, vocalist and musician Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Who knew Jada Pinkett-Smith would be a fan of legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen and Qawwal maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Yesterday, Hollywood famous actress,singer-songwriter, Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of acclaimed star Will Smith who has also been starred in American comedy film ” Bad Moms” took to Instagram to announce her appreciation for the popular Pakistani singers Abida Parveen and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

She posted on social media as, “Abida Parveen and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are two of my favourite vocalists of Sufi music. This song is called Chaap Tilak and you can go on YouTube to check out the lyrics. They are beautiful”. She shared a clip of the vocals performing Chaap Tilak on Coke Studio and included them as “@queenofsoul and @officialrfakworld are two of my favorite vocalist of Sufi music”. The two of the legends had collaborated for the song for Coke Studio’s season seven in 2014 with the song becoming one of the biggest hits the program has produced. The songs’ lyrics are a poem by Amir Khusro.

Music icons Abida Parveen and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have already contributed in the country’s Sufi music and have earned their names internationally and have made their way to Bollywood and Hollywood. Rahat is famous for his Qawwali, because he belongs to the family of legends of music industry. His family has played a significant role of devotional music of the Muslim Sufis. He is the nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and also the grandson of Qawwali singer Fateh Ali Khan. In addition to Qawwali, he also performs ghazals and other light music. Whereas, Abida is the best musician and singer of the industry, whose music is liked all over the world.
