No Music Learning and Talent Platforms in Pakistan

Pakistani Singers

Talent Platforms: Pakistan is good in music, No doubt Pakistani singers have demand in Film Industry even in Bollywood.

Late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Adnan Sami, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Zafar, Atif Aslam, Ghulam Ali, Mehdi Hassan, Reshman G.

Many of us do not aware that Noor Jehan was India’s most famous singer and actor before the partition of India and Pakistan. She had become a household name with such movies as Khandaan (1942), Naukar (1943), Dost (1944), Zeenat (1945), Village Girl (1945), Badi Ma (1945), Anmol Ghadi (1946) and Jugnu (1947).

In Pakistan, many singers create a history in Music and film Industry. They proved their self as motivational singers.
We can not forget the role of singers in War times. Madam Noor Jehan, Mehdi Hasan, Inayat Hussain Bhatti, Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, Shehnaz Begum and many more.

Unfortunately, In Pakistan, none of the above singers or any other tried for giving passage or create ways for new generations. Singer’s second generation came in the market but only few could make a name of there own.
But no one tried to make institutes at a big level.
There or a lot of academies and individual musicians and singers giving classes but only for there hunger. The step for a mission or with a vision could never be taken.

The thing is this, Pakistan has no talent? Pakistan is not giving birth to singers? Pakistan has no music industry? Or Pakistan is not having a bright future of music??

If the answer of all questions is Yess, then what and where is an issue?

The issue is Platform, Issue is motivation, Issue is a recommendation, and Issue is giving way and passage to new ones.

Till today there is not any tv channel who has budget or idea to produce Music Reality Show, If some tried then they could not get a rating because of lack of expertise and lack of knowledge.

A private tv channel started a musical talent show by name “Pakistan Idol” but got many negative things in it.
In Old ages, there was a music program on state-run tv channel PTV for kids, And today’s many singers are the gift of that program. But Now, Maybe we don’t have a “Man” who can generate and implement such an idea.
There are rare platforms like Coke Studio, Nescafe basement but again these are for professional singers not for talents.
Some Institutions are active but those are for rich talents who can afford, But those institutes are also not producing and not giving singers to market.
TV Channels should start talent shows at a big level like other countries if we are conscious and serious about Music talent of Pakistan, We should motivate our Elders in Music Industry who are sleeping with dust on their Awards which has loose there shine.
