Rafaqat Ali Khan is a singer, songwriter, and musician from Pakistan. He was trained as a classical singer and is the son of another classical music singer named Nazakat Ali Khan. He is also the nephew of Salamat Ali Khan of the Sham Chaurasia Gharana and the cousin of another classical music singer named Shafqat Ali Khan. Rafaqat Ali Khan has proven himself a prominent musician throughout his career, which spanned over two decades, and he has released a total of eleven albums.
In addition, he made a name for himself in the industry as a playback singer for the films Krrish, Dhokha, and Youngistaan, for which he garnered appreciation all over the world for his singing.
Early Life of Rafaqat Ali Khan
His uncle Salamat Ali Khan sang alongside His father, Nazakat Ali Khan, was alive for nearly fifty years. Shafqat Ali Khan, Shujat Ali Khan, and Latafat Ali Khan, his relatives, are also classical vocalists. Rafaqat earned an MA in Political Science from the University of Punjab. Khan began his musical training with his father and his uncle at a very young age. He appeared on television with his uncle and cousins and performed on the radio.

Rafaqat Ali Khan is a well-known musician hailing from the country of Pakistan. From a young age, his father and uncle began preparing him for a career in the entertainment industry. Eventually, he made his debut on television and radio.
Rafaqat began performing solo throughout India and other nations, such as Australia, Canada, the Middle East, the UK, the US of America, and other European countries. His trip to the United States in 2009 was the most successful tour ever undertaken by a Pakistani singer since he performed in sixteen states within two months. Rafaqat was the first Pakistani musician to perform at Norway’s Oslo Opera House. He was joined by Jasvant Singh, Nafees Irfan, and the Bollywood Brass Band.
Queen Sonja of Norway participated in the event. He played classical songs at the festival’s opening ceremony at Oslo’s Rudd House. His compositions were featured on the album ‘The Project’ by Rishpal Singh Rekhi, and he has collaborated with the English singer-songwriter, Peter Gabriel. Rafaqat is also a well-known playback singer, having sung in films such as Silence Please…, The Dressing Room (2004), Krrish (2006), Dhokha (2007), and Younistaan (2008).
He started singing solo and did shows in countries like India, UK, USA, UAE, Canada, Australia, Middle East and many European countries. His 2009 tour of USA was considered the most successful tour ever of a Pakistani artist.
