Nehaal Naseem represents the new generation of Pakistani pop artists who built their initial audience through social media and then transitioned into mainstream music.
She started her musical journey as a child, posting covers online. In 2018, at around 12 years old, she appeared at Alhamra Unplugged Season 2, where her performance received strong appreciation from the audience.
According to a 2024 interview with The News, Nehaal said that she had started her music career in 2016 and that a cover she recorded went viral when she was only 11. She subsequently worked on OSTs for Pakistani dramas and web series before developing her own original music.
Nehaal's professional recording career gained momentum with “Beqadra,” released in 2023. The song helped establish her beyond her earlier identity as a social-media cover artist.
She followed it with songs and collaborations including “Tera Mera Hai Pyar,” “Siskiyon Mein,” “Tum Se Hi,” “Teri Deewani,” and “Saiyaan x Laiyaan Laiyaan.”
One of the most important songs in Nehaal's career has been “Sadqay,” her collaboration with Aashir Wajahat and Nayel Wajahat.
The song became a major streaming success and helped establish Nehaal as one of the most prominent young Pakistani pop voices. Spotify tracking data shows “Sadqay” as by far her biggest streaming track, with more than 94 million Spotify streams in the May 2026 snapshot.
In 2024, Nehaal joined Ali Azmat and Arif Lohar for “Sadi Vari Oye,” the Pakistan Cricket Board's official anthem released ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup. This was an important mainstream exposure opportunity for the young singer.
Nehaal has remained active with new releases.
Her “Pyaar Kyun Banaya” collaboration with Haider Ali, released in November 2025, became another significant success. The track entered the Official Asian Music Chart, reaching a peak of No. 13 and remaining on the chart for multiple weeks.
In January 2026, she released “Pass Ho Tum,” with lyrics credited to Nehaal and music production involving Nabeel Shaukat Ali.
She also appeared on Aashir Wajahat's “Yours Truly” project, including the track “Thora Muskura De” with Aashir Wajahat, released in January 2026.
Her current discography therefore shows a clear transition from viral covers toward original songwriting, collaborations and mainstream pop releases.
