Jabar Abbas was born on 14 October 1983 in Lahore, Pakistan. His interest in music developed at an early age, eventually leading him toward professional singing. He entered the entertainment industry as a child artist in 1997, beginning a journey that would later take him into television, film, live concerts, and major music platforms.
Alongside music, Abbas pursued his education at Government College University Lahore, where he completed his Bachelor of Arts and later obtained an MA in Political Science in 2007. His university years were also important for his musical development. From 2003 to 2007, he served as president of the Nazir Ahmed Musical Society at GCU Lahore, giving him valuable experience in musical performances and organizing artistic activities.
Breakthrough with Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain
One of the biggest turning points in Jabar Abbas's career came through the popular political satire programme Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain. He became widely recognized for his parody songs on the show and reportedly recorded more than 300 parody songs during his association with the programme.
His ability to imitate different musical styles while delivering humorous and topical lyrics helped make his voice recognizable to television audiences. The programme demonstrated that Abbas was not limited to conventional singing and could successfully combine vocal performance with comedy and satire.
From Independent Music to Pakistani Cinema

Coke Studio Pakistan Journey
A defining achievement in Jabar Abbas's career was his entry into Coke Studio Pakistan. He made his Coke Studio debut in Season 9 in 2016, appearing as a featured artist as part of Sheraz Uppal's team.
One of his best-known Coke Studio performances was "Ala Baali", a collaboration with Nirmal Roy. The track introduced Abbas to an even broader audience and became one of the recognizable performances associated with his Coke Studio journey.
He subsequently appeared in Coke Studio Season 10, further strengthening his association with Pakistan's most internationally recognized music platform.
