Born on 14 September 1984 in Lahore, Farhan first became widely known as the lead vocalist of the Pakistani pop-rock band Jal before pursuing a successful solo music career. He later established himself as a leading television actor through dramas including Udaari, Suno Chanda, Prem Gali, Mere Humsafar, Badshah Begum, and Jhok Sarkar.

Farhan won major honors connected with the drama, including Best Actor at the Pakistan International Screen Awards and Best Actor – Jury at the International Pakistan Prestige Awards. The show's popularity went beyond Pakistan. In a 2026 interview with Dawn, Farhan noted that several of his dramas had become global hits and that his television popularity had helped broaden the age range of people attending his concerts.

Mere Humsafar and International Popularity

Another major milestone came with Mere Humsafar, where Farhan played Hamza opposite Hania Aamir.

The drama became highly popular among Pakistani audiences and developed a substantial international following. Farhan's performance helped strengthen his position as a leading man and introduced his work to another generation of viewers.

His performance in Mere Humsafar earned nominations at the Lux Style Awards 2023, including Best TV Actor and Best TV Actor – Critics' Choice.

Jhok Sarkar and Mature Roles

In 2023, Farhan appeared in Jhok Sarkar, playing Arslan opposite Hiba Bukhari. The drama was directed by Saife Hassan and written by Hashim Nadeem. It presented a combination of action, romance and social themes, with the story paying tribute to the often-unsung work of police officers.

Farhan also contributed vocally to the drama through its title song “Meri Matti.” His involvement demonstrated how naturally his music and acting careers continue to overlap.
