Ataullah Khan Esakhelvi is a top Pakistani Seraiki artist. His full name is Attaullah Khan Niazi Esakhelvi also known as ‘LaLa’. He is a Pakistani award-winning musician from Isakhel Mianwali the city of Punjab. He was born on 19 August 1951. Ataullah Khan Esakhelvi is traditionally considered a Best Pakistani Seraiki artist. His music albums are in Seraiki, Urdu, and Punjabi. He was taught very much of Punjabi Qalaam by the late Aadha Khan Gunjial who introduced him to a couple of his biggest hits.
He recognized a folk figure in Pakistan and consider as the most famous singer of Pakistan and one of the most popular folk singers in all around the world. The other constant companions of truck drivers in Pakistan are the tunes of Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi. This Mianwali-born singer with his swashbuckler mustache, kameez shalwar, and shawl on one shoulder became the poster boy for traditional Pakistani music.
The Government of Pakistan honored him with the Pride of Performance Award in 1991.
